I tripped this morning around 9:30am. I heard a pop in my right foot, and twisted it. The top of my foot on the right side by my ankle there is a bump normally. I have the same bump on my left foot. It has swelled up quite a bit, and there is a constant pain. I can walk on it, but I cannot rotate my foot or bring my toes up without it hurting. I cannot sleep, but is it broken, fractured, or just sprained? And can I wait until the morning to go see a doctor?

8 days ago I dropped the wheel part of my packed suitcase on the top of my foot. I had on sandals, so my foot was not well protected.The suitcase actually came down off the steps of the train onto my foot. My foot immediately swelled, has stayed swollen to this day, although not as severe as the first few days. I still have bruising on the top and side of my foot. I am able to walk without much pain, but can not wear a shoe with any kind of top strap or covering. It is painful to press on the top of my foot. My question: does this sound like a severe bruising or could I have a bone fractured?

At first I thought I had bunions on my big toes. It feels like my big toenail is being pulled off now I have a white spot on both large ties the 2nd toe and joint hurts too. My feet skin at night is very sensitive and feels sore. I am a foot mover when I sleep so I am constantly reminded during sleep of the feeling. When I went ti the Dr and asked for a referrel to the foot Dr I took my shoe off and he saw the very pink toe joint and said it was gout he gave me gout medicine. Since taking it, its better but still concerned its something else. Any ideas on what it is?

I was dancing and wearing flat shoes. The next day I couldn't put pressure on my foot. It has been 3 weeks and I'm still limping. The pain is originating from the base of my second toe. I can't bend my toe back without pain. I thought maybe I bruised it from jumping repeatedly on it (from dancing). Any help or advice would be great. I was hoping it would go away but it's going on 4 weeks. There is also pain on the pad of my foot. The pain gets worse as I walk on it. Thank you!

Dear Dr's: I was sitting on a mat for several hrs in my garden last evening. After showering, noticed a bump about 1 inch in dia. at the base of my foot (and along the side), below my small toe. It became swollen and felt uncomfortable to walk on it. The bump was firm but not hard like a bunion, it seemed whitish. I had on sandals, but I do not remember getting bitten (live in PA). I soaked it in epsom salts for 40-50 minutes before going to bed. When I awoke, the bump seemed to have gotton smaller. It still is painful once on my although not as bad as be I noticed the bump has gone down, but it is still very sore. It feet, but not narly as bad a last night. It also has tuned a blue/purple in an area a little larger then before. I am a little concerned since the prime area seemed to be filled with blood now or is a purplish color. I don't remember banging my foot; so I am not sure what it is. As I said, it was originally white/clear in color and somewhat soft. So I didn't think it was a bunion. Is seems to be healing and I will soak it again. Should I be concerned with infection or will it heal on its own? Will a general physician be able to diagnose my problem?

Hi, I\\\\\\\'m 55 (female) and have had terrible hearing loss for the better part of 20 years. It\\\\\\\'s time to get hearing aids. I had my hearing test completed 10-31. My doctor showed me two hearing aids. A clear plastic which goes behind the ear, the other an insert directly into the ear. I\\\\\\\'m not willing to pay $6000.00. I live in St. Petersburg, FL and would like to take my hearing test elsewhere and purchase elsewhere as well. I will be borrowing the money through my company on a FSA loan. I have a limited time during open enrollment and wanted to know if you could direct me in the right direction for assistance. $2500.00 is my limit. If I have to get just one aid this year that will be fine I guess for now. Any reach out is appreciated. Thanks Denise Brown
